Scary title, but I have to say, it was pretty awful. I met M & A with their new arrival and completed a wonderfully creative shoot with them. We took our time and spent nearly 3 hours making sure that Little L was happy and comfortable. I brought home my camera and started copying all the pictures onto my hard drive, and something happened. Not sure what but when I tried to see the pictures on the card, they were all gone and the card was corrupted. I know dealing with this type of equipment, there is always a possibility for things to happen like that, but it still is by far the most stressful and concerning part of this job when something like this happens. (ps the camera is fine, and working well) Thankfully, A&M were completely understanding and were more than willing to do a second shoot. So these are the shots from that shoot, and they are absolutely gorgeous. Such a beautiful little L, and he has such a gorgeous mother. He was such a great baby for this shoot and absolutely loved being cuddled and held close. Spent the weekend down south. Two different farm families. I have to say I love taking this drive down Hwy 2. The farms are great as well, I am always looking for interesting things to capture. Old farm equipment, barns etc always intrigue me. Must be something about the nostalgic element these items create. I thought for sure I was going to be shooting indoors the way the forecast read, but fortunately I was able to shoot between the little sprinklings and the photos turned out fantastic. The second shoot was such a photogenic family. I was so excited to work with these children because they were so co-operative and polite.
This shoot was given as a donation to a silent auction in the spring of this year. The silent auction was to raise funds for a woman in my home town who is working on receiving a lung transplant. The funds were raised to help with her out of pocket expenses for travel, family accomodations and so on. |
