For the past few weeks I have had the great fortune of being able to work once again in a classroom setting.
I have been teaching photography to students ages 3-13. An exciting endeavour to say the least. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a whole lot for myself.
Since its all work with minors, unfortunately there isnt a whole lot that I can share for pictures, just because of privacy concerns.. However, here are one or two shots from our lessons.
Some one caught me unaware
Loved the way they captured just the shadow
In April I was also able to meet some new faces in the Real Estate market. Headshots are always a great way to advertise yourself through Social Media.
Normally my blog posts feature recent work.
Today I wanted to introduce you to a fellow Calgarian and her Amazing Business-
Sweetly Speaking.Meet Barbara Forster
She has been operating Sweetly Speaking for nearly four years, but the business has been around since 2002.
Sweetly Speaking makes almost all their chocolates on-site and the chocolate is sourced from Belgium.
Sweetly Speaking has developed a method to create chocolates that are completely unique to you. They can create a custom mold of almost any object and turn it into an amazing work of art.
Yes, this sculptural piece is made entirely of chocolate.
If you are thinking about an ice sculpture for your wedding, they can create a chocolate sculpture (up to 5ft tall) instead.
White Chocolate, Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, they are all covered.
And of course, custom colours can be created.
When Sweetly Speaking first opened, their only focus was on weddings, but they have expanded to cover a much broader range of occasions and events today.
If you have a theme, they can create chocolates that suit it, whether it is soccer, hockey, cowboys, circus, if you can dream it up, they can probably create it for you.
Sweetly Speaking even has a liquor licence which allows them to create chocolate and wine (or other beverage) gift baskets.
For your wedding you can have chocolate wedding favours, a chocolate fountain, a chocolate sculpture, or even chocolate thank you gifts for your bridal party.
Who doesnt love chocolate.
I have worked with C as a model in the past, just for fun. She is an aspiring photographer who is very involved with kickboxing and overall good health, and IT SHOWS.. She is one of the most fun and adorable models I have worked with.
Thanks C.
(Preface: If the colours are seeming a little off to you, they are for me too, but my prints NEVER look like this, so please, dont judge my work based on the blog shots. And if you know how to fix this colour issue on my webpage, please drop me a line.)
The Christmas season is perhaps the busiest time of year for Sunley Photography, and for myself personally, so getting posts done individually just doesnt make sense.
Here are some highlights from the last two months.
This beautiful young lady made her way to Disney for some auditions. Some time in the near future, you might just see her face on something from them, you never know.
And just for fun, I made her a little festive for winter.
Some familiar faces at Sunley Photography, these beautiful little ladies were getting their annual portraits done. I love spending time with their family, they always have such fun events.
Grandma and Grandpa even posed for one shot
even family friends get in on the attention. But baby Stella sure has gotten big since the summer time, she couldnt be ignored.
Sometimes I get the opportunity to spend time with good friends, and they were perfect.
An added bonus of course is the adorable children they have.
Another terrific family with some seriously angelic looking children.
even though he didnt want to smile, this fellow was adorable.
Big brother is no slouch either.
Gorgeous Mom could have easily taken up a career in Modeling.
Seriously, Dad could have easily pulled it off as well!

This is such an incredible wedding. I was absolutely overwhelmed with all the colour and detail available. There was, as I have mentioned before, incredible food as well.
The couple had themed their wedding around fine art, and even had the cake inspired by Van Gogh's 'Starry Night'... So fun!!
I love weddings. I think I may have said this before, but I just love looking at these shots following the wedding and I always fall in love with the couple, all over again.
(I could love them for the awesome food too. I have never been to a wedding that hasnt had incredible food.)
But honestly, the brides and grooms never disappoint.
Say hello to the S. family. IF you recall, I did a post called BABY LOVE. That was their new son. They were so excited for those portraits that we decided to do a second shoot outdoors when the weather was gorgeous.
When we went outdoors, their little girl came to life. She was so excited to see the ducks and geese at the pond.
So adorable.
This year has been so busy for me that I have not had the chance to catch up on the blog.
But here goes the first of a few posts to get me caught up.
This is the G. family. They are huge fun. I love mom's choices for outfits. Not to mention the cutest little girl. It was such a fun shoot because they had some specific ideas about what they wanted to do. The most fun had to be when we went to the harley shop and posed with Daddy's Harley.
Weddings are absolutely fantastic, and I love it when I come across a groom with such amazing style. The white tuxedo was so striking, I couldnt stop getting great shots of him. Not to mention he was a man of details, right down to the Louis Vuitton cuff Links. WOW!
Of course the LOVELY bride was no slouch either. She had the traditional Chinese red silk dress for the tea ceremonies. Hair pieces to match. And then a GORGEOUS white gown for the wedding ceremony, with an entirely new hair-do. AMAZING stuff!!
