I challenge you to find the definition of this word.  I will give you a hint, it would be a strong description of today.

I have decided that I am going to make an effort to go out once a week on location scouting expeditions.

Today my choice was Carburn Park.  This is a small man-made park in Riverbend.  I never would have found this place if I hadn't planned this trip out.

The weather was fantastic, beautiful, strong sunshine.

I have a great visualization for what this path will look like in full foliage.  I will have to come back here in the summer.  This is such a great spot because there are no houses, or buildings.  Such a rare thing here in the city.

This tree was too great to pass up.  I love all the branches going out in every direction.

The two major birds I saw on this trip were Canadian Geese and Chickadees.  These little chickadees were just flying everywhere and swooping right in front of my camera.  I was really glad that I caught this shot.  I set my camera to continous shutter and hoped that I could get one of them.  It worked quite well considering my expectations.

I couldn't resist the contrast of the blue and white.  I love the simplicity of this shot.

Just in case you are wondering, I wanted to share a few details of this park.  It seemed pretty quiet, of course it was a weekday afternoon, I am not sure how busy I expected it to be.  There are quite a few little trails that you can explore.  I was expecting more paved pathways, and had I known what it was going to be like, I might not have chosen the stroller.  But, we managed.  AND there was a ton of mud.  I would definitely choose this as a place to take kids, there was lots to explore and great areas to go throw some rocks into the water.
