I had the opportunity to work, once again, side by side, with the ever-talented EDWARD ROSS . This wedding also saw the talents of (Decor, Co-ordination and So many other important details), Parfait Productions (Video), and Pez Productions (DJ services). And it was held at Silvertip Resort and Golf Course Such a Beautiful Day. The skies moved from wispy and blue to shades of grey throughout the day, and it kept threatening to almost rain. An absolutely perfect morning for a round of golf before the wedding. Not too hot, and not too chilly. Once in a while I get the opportunity to do a session purely for the fun of it.
This was an incredible collaboration that was organized by my fellow Associate Photographer-Leya Russell. Michelle Suffolk-Walsh was responsible for the amazing hair and makeup. Averynthe clothing is what the talented Models Eva Alpa and Grace Okeny are wearing. This was done in collaboration with Edward Ross Photography D&A had a beautiful early morning start to their day.
You can see their engagement photos here D snuck over to A's parent's home and surprised her with a cruiser bike as a wedding gift, complete with her favorite starbucks drink in the cupholder. I met C&J several years ago, and I immediately fell in LOVE with the two of them. He is such a bold individual, he speaks his mind and lets you know exactly what he wants. She is a little more reserved, and perhaps might come across as even shy, But that only lasts a few minutes before you get to know her, then the personality comes out. The two of them we absolutely, adorably in Love when I first got to know them. I was so excited to receive the phone call inviting me to be their photographer. OF Course! The morning started with the boys getting ready, stopping into a local Tim Horton's for a coffee and breakfast. While the girls got ready at a family member's beautiful home.

When D&A called me up to ask about wedding photos, I was just delighted.
D and I had been co-workers during University and I was thrilled to hear he had found someone special to spend the rest of his life with. As soon as I met A, I knew exactly why he had chosen her. She was charming, funny and intelligent! They were just perfect for each other! This beautiful couple called me just a few weeks before their wedding to see if I was available. AMAZINGLY, I was! Even if I hadn't been, I would have gone out of my way to help them find an awesome Photographer for their special day. The Bride and I were close friends, all through our high school years. While our lives have taken us to very different places, we still make an effort to stay in touch, and when we get together, its like the years between never existed. I was so excited to be able to see her marry this very sweet man! Check out their engagement photos here. There are so many details with this wedding that I just loved. The bride wanted a casual, comfortable wedding, part of that included a non-traditional dress. She made the trip up to Calgary before the wedding to go dress shopping, I was thrilled to be able to join her for this adventure because she wasn't searching for a traditional gown. She was more interested in something that fit her personal style and her ideas for the wedding. This was the beautiful dress that we discovered! The next step was finding some gorgeous boots to finish it off! The skies! The beautiful Alberta foothills. There are very few locations that are as lovely! The bride has an incredible family who made sure her day was taken care of. They cooked the food, prepared the site, decorated and cleaned up. This wedding was a small intimate gathering, and the love that the family members and friends have for the bride and groom is evident in all that they did for the couple. Getting ready before the ceremony. The ceremony First Dance! Right after I DO! The whole family joined in! The Bride's parents. You can see how much they are still in love with each other, even after all the years they have been together! The wedding party! Now, all Family. I took the Bride and Groom out for some creative, quiet time. The Bride let me do some creative things with her! This is what we came up with. Having a little Country Fun! And some time with the horses! Almost forgot to do the garter! She wasn't really excited to have caught the garter. Once in a while, I can be convinced to be in one of the photos. Thank you M&C for inviting me to share in your day! Special Thanks also to my second photographer & assistant
Jenny Wilson of Jenny Foo Photography I love all the couples that I have the pleasure to work with. Each couple has their own unique personalities, quirks and special moments. Some couples I observe are extremely passionate and open with their emotions, other couples are more reserved, but obviously in love with each other, and some couples are just Stinking CUTE!!! That's how I describe C & D: STINKING CUTE!! You know that the two of them were just perfectly made for each other. I also have to say, that they had SOOO much happen on their day, it was extremely difficult to put together a photo gallery for this blog post, instead, I made a very short video, and it STILL doesn't even come close to capturing the fun and adventure that was had. Thanks C&D for letting me help make your day Beautiful! |
