Regardless of how long I have been working as a photographer, I still love to work with other photographers. This wedding was done with the Amazingly talented Devyn Bohn of DB Images.
When I get the opportunity to work with other photographers, I get to take a step back and look for things that I would never have the opportunity for at other weddings. This wedding even had some very co-operative groomsmen who were willing to try just about anything.

One of my goals this year is to do more work just for fun, just for myself. Fortunately I have some gorgeous friends who were game for a little dress-up at 7 o'clock on a Friday morning.
Here are the results from that very quick and chilly session. The dress was provided by Durand Bridals The chair is from Orange Trunk Vintage Rentals The models are Kaela and Elijah from K&E imaging I am so excited to share this news. Last fall I nominated Hamraz Salehi for the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society New Canadian Artist Award. Today, it was my pleasure to attend the Mayor's Lunch with Hamraz to see her receive her award and special recognition in front of a crowd of nearly 600 plus attendees. Hamraz is so friendly and cheerful, she just went right up to many of the other recipients and introduced herself. Making new friends throughout the day's events. Hamraz and I were invited to a special VIP reception before the luncheon where we were introduced to the Mayor, Naheed Nenshi. (the event photographer got a shot of that, but I am not sure where to find it just yet, I will post a link if I find it). After the reception there were all sorts of young artists and performers dancing, playing music, singing, entertaining and sharing their works. Since I wasn't working, I took limited shots of this, I just wanted to enjoy the event. But, I did take a few of the room and table, because I always love table settings. A few of the members from the CCIS who sat with us for the luncheon. Hamraz on stage with the other award winners. And just in case you are interested in what Hamraz's art looks like, here is the link to her website Hamraz.ca
Listen to her interview on CBC Radio Some babies love to be the center of a photoshoot, they will hold their poses and sleep like... well, babies.
And then there are others. They love to show their little personalities right from the very start. Little J & Z are so full of personality. It's almost like he was laughing at me, from the get-go. |
