For the past two years I have spent a significant amount of time during the summer at Blue Bronna Wilderness Camp.
Last year I started the discussion to run a photography camp for people who would like to learn how to use their camera and how to ride horses. The staff were on board for this and as a result we ended up with a fantastic weekend this June.
Make sure to click on the images in the galleries so that you can see the entire thing. They get cut off on the main page.
The first night we spent getting to know each other and settling in.
Early the next morning we were up for breakfast and then into the stables to saddle the horses and get on the trail.
Once we were out on the trail, sometimes the view didnt change very much. I wish I had some better photos of the REALLY rough stuff, but when it was really dicey, I had to hold onto the horse so I didnt fall off. But I think some of these do the terrain justice.
Because we had a group of experienced riders, we were able to take the group through a much longer and tougher ride than we would have with some new riders.
We had a lunch stop in a gorgeous mountain meadow, as well as a nice stretch and rest.
Just some details from along the way
Even though we had a long, hard ride, we still stayed up beyond dark to capture some incredible night shots. and even do a little light painting.
And the following day we stayed around base camp, spent some time with the horses and other little creatures.
